You can easily allocate all your staff to cost centres, too, and then use these to create a more detailed payroll journal which can be synchronised to Xero’s tracking codes, or any other Xero account code of your choice. Our expenses feature lets your staff claim expenses and charge them to up to 3 categories – customer, project, and account.

It’s easy and quick to log claims, uploading a receipt or taking a quick photo with your smartphone.
We even track mileage, either using HMRC standard mileage rates, which we automatically keep up to date, or your own.
You decide who needs to approve the expenses, and then you can send them to Xero’s bill records.
If any of your team have company cards, the system will automatically tell Xero that, so you don’t risk paying the expense twice.
